A vital part of the mandate of "On the Edge of Time Ministries" is to REACH the nations with the power of the gospel. We are currently placing an emphasis on Eastern Europe and war-torn regions of Africa.
Eastern Europe: On the Edge of Time currently organizes annual mission trips to the Czech Republic. The ministry in CZ includes street evangelism, leadership training, church planting, miracle/healing crusades, prayer walks and orphanage ministry. Between July 28 - August 11, 2006 Trevor brought his seventh team to the Czech Republic in an experience that left both the Czechs and Canadians deeply moved and changed as they saw the power of God manifest before their eyes. During 2008 Mike Tinholt will be leading a team during late July. The approximate cost for this trip will be $2500.
Africa: Rwanda Rwanda, a country torn apart by genocide in 1994 (leaving 1 million dead or missing), has been experiencing significant revival and spiritual renewal as it progresses in its recovery as a nation. On the Edge of Time Ministries plays a vital role in supporting the relief of poverty amongst children and widows through child and family sponsorships, offering free education to impoverished children, supporting Christian initiatives such as conferences and Biblical/Christian leadership training, and bringing missions and medical teams to assist the partnering organizations in achieving common goals. Trevor will be returning to Rwanda with a team from during the summer of 2009.
Africa: Sudan On the Edge of Time is currently in the process of establishing an Children's Center (orphanage) in southern Sudan. We believe social justice & the call to evangelize go hand in hand. A missions team headed to Sudan in September 2007 to cover the preliminary phase of organization. Southern Sudan has seen a significant amount of war, famine and persecution over the last decade. It has been at peace with the northern Islamic government since a treaty was signed in January 2005, and currently maintains its own independent secular government. The UN has been repatriating refugees to this region over the past several months, but significant drought & devastation due to AIDS have left famined and orphaned children without much hope, especially within the rural areas. In the urban areas, commerce is finally beginning to pick up, and two more African banks have announced plans to set up offices in Juba and elsewhere. There is much that can be done, and we believe that the present developments within the region make this a key time for bringing in additional support. Trevor will be returning to Sudan with a team from during the summer of 2009.
